If you’re interested in the litRPG genre and enjoy listening to podcasts, Ramon Mejia’s aptly-named LitRPG Podcast is the place to go for news and recommendations. This week he was kind enough to review Original Enchantment, giving it a score of 7.2 out of 10.
I try to take the stance that all feedback is good feedback: Praise gives me the motivation to write more while constructive criticism helps me become a better writer. Even trolling tells me I must be doing something right to get the attention.
I was flattered that Ramon enjoyed the crafting. At the same time, I feel his main critique was fair: The main plotline can seem a bit disconnected from the rest of the story. Rest assured, I’ll be giving it a good deal more attention in book two, and it should become clear why I chose to make it a slow burn. There is a very good reason Ike can’t log out and it probably isn’t what you’d expect. 😉
