Relic Tamer Cover Art

As I mentioned during my December updates, I’ve been working with Les aka germancreative on the cover art for book two. As with the first book, she didn’t disappoint. I’ll let the art speak for itself.

If you’re thinking it looks similar to book one, you’ve got the right idea. I wanted each cover to have a consistent feel while also reflecting an important step in Ike’s journey. In contrast to the worried expression and orange color scheme of the first, Ike’s expression is darker and the color more shifted toward red. The backdrop has likewise changed from the depths of Austrin Fortress to the city streets of the Halorin, where perils of a different sort await our hero. And let’s not forget Ike’s gear. Gone is his cobbled-together mishmash of armor. His hero’s medal and dragonhide jerkin mark him as the accomplished adventurer he’s become. Then there’s the gauntlet… but we can talk about that in a few months. 😉

I would be remiss if I don’t show off the back cover, as well, since it features the first glimpse at Ike’s intrepid companion Dusty.
